Match Summary
Bournemouth’s goalless draw in midweek finally ended their horrendous run of 16 Premier League (PL) matches without a clean sheet, albeit it was the first time in 186 PL games that they faced no shots on target. They remain the division’s worst side across the last 15 rounds though (W2, D2, L11), and have trailed at HT in 70% of their PL losses this term.
The relegation-threatened ‘Cherries’ are on a four-game winless run at home (D2, L2), after losing ‘to nil’ at HT in three. They’ll be desperate to score first considering they’ve netted the opener in all four of their PL home wins this campaign, and have lost six of the seven home games in which they trailed at the break.
Leicester City grabbed a late equaliser last time out for their third draw across five PL games since the restart (W1, D3, L1). However, HT draws don’t seem to phase the ‘Foxes’, who have turned seven into FT wins this league campaign.
They travel here on a six-game winless PL away run though (D3, L3), four of which saw both teams score. Despite that, Leicester have been one of the better travelling sides with their average of 1.83 goals scored per road trip the division’s third best ahead of the round.
Players to watch: Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson has picked up five yellow cards across his last eight PL appearances - his two goals during that period were match openers netted by the 15th minute. Meanwhile, PL top scorer Jamie Vardy has netted three goals after the 75th minute across Leicester’s last two matches.
Stat attack: Bournemouth have conceded after the 75th minute in four of their last seven PL home games.
Leicester have netted the opener in ten PL away games (W7, D1, L2).
The opener has been scored by the 20th minute in the last three H2Hs.
