Marco Asenio will leave Real Madrid on a free transfer after this season. That reports the Spanish Relev. The 27-year-old Spaniard spent a long time thinking about his future plans, and finally decided not to accept Real’s offer to extend his contract. This means that a long employment relationship will come to an end this summer.

The Royal took over Asensio from Real Mallorca in 2015, after which he was loaned to Espanyol for one season. Since the summer of 2016, Asensio played continuously for the club from the Spanish capital, but he never really convinced. Also this season, the winger has to make do with raids: of the fifty official matches he played this year, he only started eighteen times in the base.

In total, Asensio came to 285 official duels on behalf of Real, in which he managed to score 61 times. The current number two of LaLiga will play twice this season: on Saturday in and against Sevilla and next Sunday at home against Athletic Club. Meanwhile, in the rankings, Real feels the hot breath of city rivals Atlético Madrid, which has one point less.

In total, Asensio won no less than seventeen prizes with Real, including three times the Champions League, three times LaLiga and once the Copa del Rey. In 2017, he contributed to his first Champions League win with the Madrilenians with a goal, by making it 1-4 against Juventus just before time. That was also the final score.

Mariano Diaz
Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano previously reported that Mariano Díaz will leave Real on a free transfer in the short term. The attacker has a number of options under consideration and will soon decide in which country he will continue his career. Díaz was bought back by Real from Olympique Lyon in the summer of 2018 through a buyback clause of 22 million euros. Díaz also won a lot of prizes with Real.
