Paris Saint-Germain booked a narrow victory in the Ligue 1 on Saturday evening. At the Parc des Princes, the team of coach Christophe Galtier was 4-3 too strong for Troyes AC. A leading role was played by Lionel Messi, who played an important part in two goals with a striking long shot and a phenomenal assist. Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Carlos Soler also scored.

Galtier made several changes compared to the won Champions League match with Maccabi Haifa (7-2). In the back, Marquinhos had to make way for Presnell Kimbembe and Nordi Mukiele was preferred over Achraf Hakimi. In midfield, Carlos Soler had the chance to show himself from the first whistle, while Marco Verratti returned at the expense of Fabián Ruiz. The vanguard remained intact: Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar had to take care of the goal production.

PSG started the meeting very unconcentrated, because in the third minute of play Troyes already took a 0-1 lead. The Paris defense failed to get the ball out of its own box and Mama Baldé was suddenly put into position. The striker suddenly completed and shot into the roof of the goal. Halfway through the first company, the home team cleared the deficit, when Carlos Soler scored the 1-1 on Neymar’s pass. Seven minutes after the break, Troyes took the lead again.

Baldé received a pass from Wilson Odobert at the penalty spot and was allowed to spin in complete freedom. With a viewed slider, the striker then found the bottom corner: 1-2. The visitors could not enjoy the lead for long, because Messi equalized three minutes later. At about 25 meters from the goal, the Argentinian was given time to lash out and did so in a masterly way: 2-2. After an hour of play, Messi was again important: this time he had a beautiful through ball on Neymar, who finished up close and coolly: 3-2.

PSG seemed to end the game when Mbappé used a penalty fifteen minutes before the end, but Troyes still provided exciting final minutes. In the 88th minute of play, Ante Palaversa put the 4-3 on the scoreboard on a pass from Renaud Ripart, although the Paris victory was no longer in serious danger.
