Steven Berghuis has a special bond with fellow attacker Antony at Ajax, the winger-cum-midfielder reveals on Friday in Inside Ajax from Ziggo Sports† The thirty-year-old Ajax player enjoys the game and the actions of his nine-year-younger teammate in Amsterdam. Berghuis also always has to laugh at the way Antony tries to pronounce his last name.

During the interview, Berghuis is asked to describe the special click with Antony. “I don’t know. We are two lovers and left-handed. Yes, I always have to laugh when he says my name: Berhaus”, Berghuis reveals with a smile on his mouth. “Steven Berhaus. And those are nice things. They are beautiful things too.” The versatile Ajax player is also a compliment to captain Dusan Tadic, in the eyes of Berghuis a real professional who still tries to get better every day.

Steven Berghuis has a good relationship with Antony, which he enjoys as a fellow winger.

“I have also just had the privilege of seeing very good players. And sitting in the dressing room with great players and watching them do that. I now play with Dusan,” Berghuis refers to his collaboration with Tadic. “I think guys have said that a lot already, but I’m still learning from that. How he handles some things in his diet and in his exercises, and in his rest. His discipline, it doesn’t matter when and what time He always does his exercises and always his program,” emphasizes the impressed Berghuis.

“He’s always busy and will never miss a thing. That’s something I take with me: being constant in the things you do.” The reporter of Inside Ajax then notes that Tadic still looks very fit. “He looks very fit, yes”, the Ajax attacker agrees. “It is not for nothing that he takes off that shirt”, Berghuis is then told by images of Tadic who shows his body when he throws his shirt into the box of Ajax supporters who have traveled with him. “No, no. He works for that every day. It doesn’t come easily,” says Berghuis.
