England dropout Jadon Sancho is currently in the Netherlands. The attacker of Manchester United suddenly appeared on the field of the Brabant amateur club OJC Rosmalen on Wednesday afternoon. The 22-year-old Sancho was one of the most notable dropouts in the selection of national coach Gareth Southgate and has chosen to stay in the Netherlands during the World Cup.

It is not yet clear why Sancho made that choice. Possibly to avoid the World Cup madness in his home country. Yet his presence in Rosmalen has also caused a madhouse: images of a large group of young people appear on TikTok in front of the sports complex of the club, which has about 2300 members. Sancho was also followed by several vehicles when he retreated in a car.

The stay-at-homes the Red Devils will soon resume training at Carrington. United will train there for eight or nine days, before Erik ten Hag’s team travels to Andalusia. In Spain, the manager practices against two LaLiga teams: Real Betis and Cádiz. United will play against Burnley in the EFL Cup on December 21, followed by their first league game against Nottingham Forest on December 27.

Sancho started this season as a reborn at United. Under Ten Hag, the right winger showed good things during the start of the season. However, he also missed several games due to illness. In total, the Englishman played fourteen official games, in which he scored three goals and one assist. Southgate ruled that the United attacker is unnecessary and has so far been right: competitor Bukayo Saka was twice accurate in England’s 6-2 win against Iran on Monday.
