Internazionale is willing to sell Denzel Dumfries for sixty million euros, it reports La Gazzetta dello Sport. I Nerazzurri want to use the proceeds to enter the market themselves. According to the Italian sports newspaper, the 26-year-old right back is in the strong interest of Chelsea and Manchester United.

Inter are reportedly due to generate revenue through one major outgoing transfer this summer. Dumfries would be the main candidate to leave the San Siro. La Gazzetta dello Sport writes that the Italians demand a transfer fee of sixty million euros for the right back. The interested Chelsea and Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United have no problem with putting this amount on the table for Dumfries.

Inter would like to use the possible proceeds from the transfer of the 38-time international from the Dutch to incorporate Giorgio Scalvini. Atalanta’s eighteen-year-old talent has a price tag of forty million euros hanging around his neck. Despite Scalvini mainly playing as a center-back and defensive midfielder this season, Inter see him as a long-term successor to Dumfries.

Milan Skriniar, Matteo Darmian, Edin Dzeko and Alex Cordaz are the players with an expiring contract who can count on a contract extension at Inter in the next six months. That would not apply to Stefan de Vrij, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Samir Handanovic, among others. Darmian will be his immediate replacement if Dumfries leaves, while Scalvini would strengthen Simone Inzaghi’s options in defence, especially if D’Ambrosio and De Vrij actually leave.
