Christophe Dugarry does not think Neymar’s injury will cause major problems for Paris Saint-Germain. In fact, the former world champion with France (1998) thinks that the Parisians are stronger without the 31-year-old Brazilian. On Monday it was announced that Neymar will have to have surgery on his ankle, which means that the star player will not play again this season. Dugarry late talking to RMC Sports turn out not to be a fan of the right leg.

Dugarry thinks that trainer Christophe Galtier will not be disappointed by Neymar’s injury. “I am happy for PSG that Neymar is injured. I think this is an incredible opportunity for Galtier. The team is much better balanced with five defenders and Mbappé and Messi up front.” Neymar injured his ankle again on February 20 during the home game against Lille OSC (4-3). The Parisians have since won victories over Olympique Marseille (0-3) and Nantes (4-2).

Neymar has not made himself popular with Dugarry since coming to France in 2017. “I can’t see him anymore, I can’t take it anymore. I can’t stand him with his dribbles and that attitude. I don’t want to see him on the field anymore, I’m getting tired of him!” Dugarry does foresee a problem if Kylian Mbappé or Lionel Messi gets injured. “Hugo Ekitiké has shown that he is not yet at the desired level, the other attackers are also mediocre.”

The return of the eighth finals of the Champions League against Bayern Munich awaits PSG on Wednesday. Kingsley Coman, a youth product of the club, managed to score the only goal in the home game, which means that the French are faced with a difficult task. In Munich, Galtier also cannot have access to Achraf Hakimi (thigh injury), Presnel Kimpembe (achilles tendon injury) and Renato Sanches (thigh injury). Bayern have to do without Lucas Hernández (knee injury), Noussair Mazraoui (heart problems), Manuel Neuer (broken leg) and Benjamin Pavard (suspension).
