Gustavo Hamer probably can’t go wrong at Coventry City. The former Feyenoord player shot his team at the expense of Middlesbrough to the final of the Championship play-offs: 0-1. After the 0-0 in the first leg, that was enough for the final. Coventry will face Luton Town in the final battle, which managed to make up for a 2-1 defeat at Sunderland on Tuesday (2-0). Luton and Coventry face each other at Wembley on May 27.

Particularities
Both teams had opportunities to score, but a goal before the break was not in the cards. For example, Viktor Gyökeres was a tease for the defense of Middlesbrough, which itself also got its options. However, Chuba Akpom and Marcus Forss lacked the necessary fortune. After the break, there was a score. Gyökeres continued well and eventually got the ball to Hamer, who put the ball well in front of his right and found the top corner in a wonderful way. In the final phase, Hamer had the chance to score his second goal, but this time his shot hit the crossbar. Middlesbrough thought he would equalize just before time, but Matt Crooks saw his goal disallowed for offside. The home team wouldn’t come any closer. Coventry last played in the Premier League in the 2000/01 season.
