Barcelona isn’t thinking about leaving Konrad de la Fuente. According to Mundo Deportivo have tried several clubs in recent months to incorporate the nineteen-year-old outdoor player from the United States, but Barcelona does not see a departure. Ronald Koeman is charmed by De la Fuente.

The left born in Miami ended up in Spain when he was ten years old, after his father got a job at the consulate of Haiti in Barcelona. He was noticed by Barcelona within a few years and is considered a talented player at the Camp Nou. He played seven official matches for Barcelona B last season, in which he scored three times. This season he is training with the first team and the intention is that he will have the chance to make his debut in LaLiga next season.

Koeman held De la Fuente aside ninety minutes last Saturday in the practice match against Gimnàstic (3-1 win), but was allowed to play 28 minutes against Girona (3-1 win) on Wednesday. After that match, Koeman said he was very satisfied with the youngster. “If I have to eliminate one of the young players: I am very happy with Konrad. From the start I’ve been happy with the way he picks things up”, the Dutchman said.

According to Mundo Deportivo Girona is one of the clubs that sees a possible reinforcement in De la Fuente. Moreover, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and ‘some clubs from the Eredivisie’ have expressed their interest in the surroundings of De la Fuente, according to the reports. Koeman has given permission for top talent Riqui Puig to leave, but does not want to do the same with the nine times international of the United States Under-20.
