Robert Bozeník has been out of circulation at Feyenoord for some time due to a foot operation. The twenty-year-old striker is recovering from a bone fracture sustained in the international match period earlier this month. Bozeník is looking forward to his return in the Feyenoord shirt, but the attacker from Slovakia cannot yet attach an exact date to that. Caution is paramount to him.

“I am not thinking about that now,” Bozeník explains in conversation with Friday afternoon Feyenoord TV. “At the moment I can do some exercises for my upper body, but otherwise I have to be careful. I will give at least 100 percent during my rehabilitation and hope to be back as soon as possible.” However, the Feyenoord striker does not want to take any risks. “My body must be ready first. There is now a screw in my foot and it must first recover.”

For the time being it is therefore make do for the recently operated Bozeník. “When I walk I need crutches”, the young Feyenoord attacker continues his explanation. “Now I work on my upper body a bit, but I still have to be careful. I have stitches in my foot and it’s only been five or six days since the surgery. The staff is watching my foot and communicating with the doctor. It is going in the right direction. Perhaps I can train fully again when the stitches are out. “

Because of the injuries at Bozeník and competitor Nicolai Jörgensen, trainer Dick Advocaat had to slide into the forefront of Feyenoord in recent duels. In the last five games of the team from Rotterdam, in the Eredivisie and Europa League, Bryan Linssen acted as the deepest striker. The attacker who came over from Vitesse last summer normally plays on the left side of the vanguard.
