Barcelona still considers Memphis Depay as its main transfer target this summer, says Fabrizio Romano. The recognized transfer market expert of, among others Sky Italia writes that Barça has not yet bid for the 26-year-old striker of Olympique Lyon, because first we need to clarify the situation around Luis Suárez.

Depay has personally agreed with Barcelona for some time now, Romano confirms once again. However, the Orange striker will only be reached if Suárez leaves. The 33-year-old Uruguayan is in turn around with Juventus over a two-year contract with the option for another year. However, Barcelona is still negotiating with Suárez about the dissolution of his commitment at the Camp Nou, which will continue for another year.

Romano also reports that Barcelona has not yet submitted an official bid to Liverpool for Georginio Wijnaldum. The 29-year-old midfielder is heavily linked to the Barça of coach Ronald Koeman, whom he of course knows well from the Dutch side. Earlier Sky Sports Incidentally, Wijnaldum prefers to stay at Liverpool. The former PSV player also ‘just’ made ninety minutes in Saturday’s opening game of the Premier League against Leeds United (4-3 win).

According to Romano, Barcelona is abandoning its interest in Lautaro Martínez. Rumours around the 23-year-old attacker of Internazionale flared up again in recent weeks, but Romano stresses that there is no transfer. Furthermore, the transfer journalist reports that Ansu Fati will stay one hundred percent sure with Barcelona. The club management has full confidence in the seventeen-year-old attacker, who has to make his final breakthrough this season.
