Erling Braut Haaland will be sidelined in the coming weeks, Borussia Dortmund coach Marco Rose announced on Friday afternoon at the weekly press conference. The striker has suffered a hip injury from Tuesday’s Champions League match against Ajax (4-0 defeat). He is not expected to be available for a few weeks, which means that he will have to miss the home match against Ajax on Wednesday 3 November.

Haaland has to watch injured for the second time in a short time. A muscle injury has already sidelined him in the games against Borussia Mönchengladbach (1-0 loss on September 25), Sporting Portugal (1-0 loss on September 28) and FC Augsburg (2-1 win on October 2). In addition, he missed Norway’s World Cup qualifiers against Turkey (1-1 on October 8) and Montenegro (2-0 win on October 11).
