Sheraldo Becker managed to distinguish himself in a positive way on Saturday afternoon. The 27-year-old wing attacker was good for a goal and an assist on behalf of Union Berlin during the city derby against Hertha BSC. Becker took the 2-0, after which Union eventually triumphed 3-1. At the same time, Ritsu Doan was accurate in SC Freiburg’s 0-4 victory over FC Augsburg.

1. FC Union Berlin – Hertha Berlin 3-1
Becker was assigned a basic place by trainer Urs Fischer, while Danilho Doekhi remained on the bench for the entire match. On Hertha’s side, Deyovaisio Zeefuik could not count on playing minutes either. With half an hour on the clock, the home team managed to break the spell via Jordan Siebatcheu, who nodded in at the first post after a gossamer cross from Becker: 1-0. Early in the second half, the Amsterdam-born attacker managed to double the margin after Janik Haberer sent him into the depths. Face to face with goalkeeper Oliver Christensen, Becker did not fail: 2-0. The game was then quickly decided by Robin Knoche, who headed in from a corner. With a placed shot into the low corner, Dodi Lukebakio was still responsible for the honorary goal on behalf of the visitors in the final phase.

FC Augsburg – SC Freiburg 0-4
With Mark Fleks and Ritsu Doan in the base at Freiburg and Jeffrey Gouweleeuw on the side of the home team, it was Freiburg that closed the game within a few minutes after the break. From the kick-off, the ball went to Kiliann Sildillia, who sent the cross from the right and found Michael Gregoritsch’s head. Barely two minutes later, it happened again. From an almost impossible angle, Vincenzo Grifo turned a free kick into the far corner in phenomenal fashion. After a goal by Roland Sallai was subsequently disallowed for offside, Matthias Ginter lifted the margin to three. The final chord came ten minutes before the end of Doan’s foot, who found the right corner from the edge of the sixteen with a watched shot: 0-4.
