Jadon Sancho’s future may lie in Turin, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reports. The Englishman has been at odds with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag for months and will leave the club in January. Juventus has inquired with United about the conditions.
Juventus would like to rent the 23-year-old winger for six months and take over part of his salary. United has not yet responded to Juventus’ offer, because the club would rather sell Sancho than rent it out.
It may be possible to sell to clubs from Saudi Arabia. According to TheTelegraph Al-Ettifaq, the club of manager Steven Gerrard, is eager to expand the British enclave. In addition to Gerrard, Jordan Henderson, Jack Hendry and Demarai Gray are also under contract with the Middle Eastern club.
Sancho is also coveted by Edin Terzic, coach of Borussia Dortmund. The Dortmund coach is even in contact with the former player those Boruses. However, it seems unlikely that Dortmund will be his next destination.
According to Sky Sportsjournalist Florian Plettenberg wants to play Sancho somewhere where he can count on a permanent starting position. That could be Dortmund. Plettenberg writes that a switch to his former employer, despite Terzic’s interest, seems unlikely, but not ruled out either.
The reason that Dortmund are not eager for Sancho to return is the fact that Sancho’s discipline was always a topic of internal discussion in his first period at Dortmund. He was often late for training and often flew out straight away in his private jet after matches. The England international would then be away for two or three days.
But the biggest problem, which Sancho is said to still be struggling with, is his lifestyle. The attacker does not sleep enough because he plays on his games console until the early hours, it sounds.
Sancho was brought to Manchester in the summer of 2021 for 85 million euros. However, he was unable to make his mark with the English record champions. At the press conference prior to the match against Arsenal (2-1 loss), Ten Hag said that Sancho did not train hard enough. Sancho then took to social media and accused the manager of lying. Sancho has refused to apologize and has since been banned from the squad the Mancunians.
