It’s starting to look more and more like Cristiano Ronaldo has played his last minutes for Manchester United. The Portuguese star player is under fire in Manchester after he lashed out at his current employer in several ways in an interview with Piers Morgan this week. United has now had a poster of him removed from Old Trafford, while his teammates Ronaldo after the World Cup break, according to The Times don’t expect to return to the club.

In the much-discussed interview, Ronaldo criticized, among other things, the attitude and professionalism of young players at United and indicated that he had no respect for manager Erik ten Hag. The Times now reports that the other players of the Red Devils choose Ten Hag’s side. They believe Ronaldo should never play for the club again and do not expect him to return to the team after the World Cup in Qatar.

On Wednesday, United defender Raphaël Varane, who previously played with Ronaldo at Real Madrid, responded to the situation. “Of course it affects us. We follow what happens and what is said. We try to look at it somewhat from a distance, in that as individuals we cannot change the situation, we are part of a team. I want the best for my team. Whatever will be decided, we as players will accept it and continue to do our best,” he said during a press moment of the French national team.

Images are now going over the internet of a poster being removed from Old Trafford. That poster includes Cristiano Ronaldo, along with Bryan Robson, David Beckham, Eric Cantona, Ella Toone and Shola Shoretire. It may be a reaction from United to the Portuguese’s statements. In addition, English media report that United want to fine Ronaldo at least one million euros.
