Tottenham Hotspur has won the spectacle with Leeds United. In their own stadium, Tottenham fell three times behind, partly due to a hit by Crysencio Summerville, but a double by Rodrigo Bentancur in the final phase was still sufficient for the three points: 4-3. The win lifts Tottenham to third place in the Premier League, while Leeds has to make do with fourteenth place.

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is still without Heung-min Son, who is recovering from an eye injury. The South Korean has now gone under the knife and is going to the World Cup, although the match against Leeds came too early. Due to his absence, there was a place in the starting lineup for Dejan Kulusevski. Harry Kane was the striker on duty. At Leeds there were base places for both Pascal Struijk and Summerville. The latter has been on a roll in recent weeks with goals against Liverpool and AFC Bournemouth and was therefore allowed to show it from the kick-off in London. Luis Sinisterra was missing from Leeds, among others. The former Feyenoord player is struggling with a foot injury.

Summerville broke the spell in the tenth minute. The winger received the ball from Brenden Aaronson, cleverly took the ball past Eric Dier and placed the ball with left behind Hugo Lloris: 0-1. The born Rotterdammer thus signed for his fourth Premier League goal in a row. On the other side, Emerson Royal tried with a shot that went just wide. In the 21st minute, Summerville had the chance to make his second of the afternoon, but the Dutchman saw Lloris have an answer to his attempt with the outside right.

Five minutes later it was on the other side. From a corner, both Clément Lenglet and Richarlison seemed to hinder goalkeeper Illan Meslier, after which Kane was able to shoot in with the right after some fortune: 1-1. Protests on the part of Leeds were to no avail. Both teams were threatening in the future, but that did not lead to real great opportunities. Three minutes before half-time, Leeds still hit the mark. A deflected corner came on the head of ex-Ajacied Rasmus Kristensen, who headed the ball through to Rodrigo. The Spaniard then completed with a nice volley with the left: 1-2.

After the break, the visitors in the stadium were shocked. In an attempt to play the ball, Marc Roca went forward with his leg, but instead of the leather he hit Dier’s leg. The English World Cup-goer lay down for a while, but luckily was able to continue. Roca received the yellow card for his charge. A few minutes later it was hit for the Spurs. After a smooth attack, Kane first hit a defender, after which the falling ball ended up at Davies’ feet. The Welshman did not think twice and saw his attempt through Kristensen and Meslier end up in the goal: 2-2.

Nevertheless, Leeds took the lead again via Rodrigo, who saw a nice shot from the left end up in the far corner: 2-3. Leeds seemed to go home with a good result, but Tottenham came alongside via Bentancur. The Uruguayan received the ball from the right side and managed to hit the ball somewhat fortunately through substitute Luke Ayling: 3-3. While the supporters of the Spurs still cheered, the 4-3 fell again and again it was Bentancur. The midfielder received a good pass from Kulusevski and managed to finish just in front of Meslier: 4-3. Leeds’ resistance was finally broken after Tyler Adams’ second yellow card.
