Juwensley Onstein opts for a departure from Ajax. The fifteen-year-old defender has announced via Instagram that he is exchanging De Toekomst for an adventure abroad. Onstein can choose from various offers and will soon announce which club he has chosen.

“I have decided to leave Ajax”, says Onstein. “I want to thank Ajax, my teammates and trainers at De Toekomst for four wonderful years. At the moment I am preparing for the next chapter in my career. I will keep you posted.” In 2019, Onstein ended up in Ajax’s youth academy, which the born Arnhemmer picked up at Vitesse.

Ajax wanted to keep Onstein, but was not prepared to offer the defender a professional contract. Abroad, Onstein was offered that. There he will sign a contract for three seasons, know Ajax Showtime. Several clubs from Portugal, Germany, Italy and Belgium expressed interest in taking Onstein away from Amsterdam.

According to youth watcher Thijs Zwagerman van Ajax Showtime the left-footed center defender belongs to the top of his class in Amsterdam. Onstein regularly wears the captain’s armband of his club team and also grew into a youth international for the Dutch in Amsterdam.
