Ajax knows all potential opponents in the second qualifying round of the Europa League. The draw for the first preliminary round was held on Tuesday, so the last four possible opponents are also known.

Ajax experienced a season to quickly forget. After a season full of lows, it ultimately finished fifth. Thanks to Feyenoord's win of the KNVB Cup, that place is enough for the second qualifying round of the Europa League. The Amsterdam team will play the first match on Thursday, July 25.

Due to its good UEFA coefficient, Ajax has a seeded status, which it retains until the play-offs. Other teams with seeded status, such as Braga, Molde FK and Trabzonspor, are all avoided at this stage of Europa League qualifying.

In total, the team of new coach Francesco Farioli must survive three preliminary rounds to qualify for the main tournament of the Europa League.

It could just be that Ajax draws an opponent who has already had to play during the first preliminary round of the European club tournament. This first preliminary round will be completed on July 11 and 18.

After the draw for the first preliminary round, the following clubs are all possible opponents for Ajax:
Elfsborg IF (Sweden) – Pafos FC (Cyprus)
Paksi FC (Hungary) – Corvinul Hunedoara (Romania)
KF Llapi (Kosova) – Wisla Krakow (Poland)
MFK Ruzomberok (Slovakia) – FC Tobol (Kazakhstan)

It was already known from five other clubs, who, like Ajax, will only play during the second preliminary round, that they can meet the Amsterdam team next month: Kilmarnock (Scotland), Panathinaikos (Greece), Silkeborg IF (Denmark), Maccabi Petah Tikva ( Israel) and FK Vojvodina (Serbia).

The draw for the second qualifying round of the Europa League will take place on Wednesday, June 19. This preliminary round will be completed on July 25 and August 1.
